CAMTS provided two pre-conference (AMTC) workshops this year. The “Preparing for Accreditation” workshop includes how to interpret the accreditation standards and prepare for accreditation including instructions on completing the Program Information Form (PIF). The other workshop entitled “Creating a Culture of Quality and Safety” includes how to structure a quality management program and integrate risk and safety processes to address all activities of a medical transport service including operations, communications and patient care. This year, Dr. Overton will talk about Just Culture. Several members of the NTSB, FAA and 135 Certificate Holders’ Director of Operations were invited. Dr. Overton tallied the votes for VALUES and will send out a list for final voting within the next few weeks.
